Château L' Evangile

Château L'Évangile is a distinguished Bordeaux wine estate situated within the Pomerol appellation. This winery is located on the right bank of the Bordeaux wine region, specifically in the charming commune of Pomerol within the Gironde department. Its rich history traces back to 1741 when it was established under the name Fazilleau by the Leglise family of Libourne.

During the 19th century, the property changed hands, being acquired by a lawyer who bestowed upon it the name it carries today. Notably, Château L'Évangile shares its neighborhood with the renowned Château Petrus.

In the 1990s, the esteemed Rothschild family, owners of Château Lafite, took ownership of this remarkable estate. It's worth mentioning that the cellars of Château L'Évangile are a testament to their excellence, resembling a miniature version of the illustrious Rothschild cellars.

Our visit was truly comprehensive and delightful. We were first led through the picturesque vineyards, which set the stage for our exploration of the cellars. The climax of our experience was a captivating wine tasting session, where we had the pleasure of savoring two exceptional wines: the Blason de L'Évangile 2016 and the Chateau L'Évangile.
