Château Canon

On a beautiful afternoon, we had the pleasure of exploring the vineyards of Château Canon, a prestigious estate in the Saint-Émilion appellation with a winemaking history dating back to the 18th century. As we wandered through the vines, we admired the traditional methods still employed today, including the use of horses to navigate the rows and assist with grape harvesting—a charming nod to the estate’s heritage.

We continued our walk around the property, taking in the serene landscapes and returning to the main château, now privately owned, where we glimpsed its stunning historic rooms and elegant architecture. The tour concluded in a tasting room overlooking the rolling vineyards, providing the perfect setting to sample the estate’s exceptional wines. During the tasting, we enjoyed Château Canon 2018 and 2019, Grand Vin de Canon 2018, and Château Berliquet, each showcasing the estate’s signature balance, depth, and refined character.

Château Canon’s rich history, combined with its meticulous vineyard practices and dedication to quality, makes it a celebrated name in Saint-Émilion and a benchmark for elegance and finesse in Bordeaux winemaking.
