château Haut-Brion

On the 20th of October, we had the pleasure of visiting Château Haut-Brion, a renowned premier Grand Cru Classé winery located just outside Bordeaux in Pessac. What makes it unique is its position in the northern part of the Graves wine-growing region, as you might notice when looking at maps.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore their cellars, where we discovered that they craft their own barrels in-house and have their own workshop for this purpose. The experience was truly fascinating.

To top it off, the kind folks at Château Haut-Brion generously treated us to two different wines to sample. The first was the Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2017 Mis en Bouteille au Château, and the second was the Château Haut-Brion Premier Grand Cru Classé 2017. It was a delightful tasting that added an extra layer of charm to our visit.
