Château Léoville Barton
During our recent visit to Bordeaux, we had the pleasure of reconnecting with our dear friend Lilian Barton. She graciously guided us through the enchanting chateau, a testament to timeless family heritage. Our journey commenced in the newly constructed cellars.
As we ventured into the depths of Léoville Barton's historic cellars, we were warmly welcomed by Lilian's delightful dog. The furry friend guided us on a charming tour of the chateau, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.
Ascending a grand staircase, we reached a magnificent tasting room that overlooking the barrels and cellars below. Lilian, our gracious host, presented us with an exquisite array of wines. Our tasting journey unfolded, beginning with the Sequoia 2016, a wine that set the tone for an exceptional tasting experience.
The Linpression de Mauvensin Barton 2018 followed, revealing layers of complexity and a reflection of the Barton family's commitment to excellence. The Chateau Mauvesin Barton 2015 further captivated our palates with its refined character and distinguished profile.
Continuing our exploration, we delved into the La Reserve De Leoville Barton 2015, a true expression of the chateau's legacy. The Chateau Langoa Barton 2010 brought a touch of vintage elegance, while the Chateau Leoville Barton 2016 provided a grand finale, showcasing the enduring quality of Barton wines.
Our time at Léoville Barton was not merely a tasting but a sensory journey through the heart of winemaking tradition. We then ventured around to the gardens where we enjoyed a beautiful lunch outside. What an incredible way to end our trip in Bordeaux.
