Taittinger
Our last visit of the trip we had the pleasure of exploring the renowned Tattinger cellars nestled in Reims, where we were warmly welcomed by our delightful guide. As we descended into the cellars, which seemed to stretch on for miles, we were immersed in a rich tapestry of history, with echoes from World War II evident in the carved faces and sculptures adorning the walls.
The journey through the cellars was a fascinating walk through time, offering glimpses into the past. We then ascended to an enchanting private tasting room, where we were treated to samples of Tattinger's two latest vintages. The experience was heightened by the intimate setting, setting the stage for a deeper appreciation of Tattinger's craftsmanship.
Following the cellar exploration, we embarked on a 45-minute drive from Reims to a breathtaking residence of the family home. The warm reception included champagne and canapés, and we had the privilege of indulging in the luxurious Comtes. Our culinary journey continued in a private room where a talented chef prepared a four-course meal, each course thoughtfully paired with a different Tattinger champagne.
The curated selection included the exquisite Champagne Taittinger Prelude, the elegant Champagne Taittinger 2015, the captivating Champagne Taittinger Folies de la Mosquettonie, and finally, the enchanting Champagne Taittinger Nocturne. This unforgettable experience not only showcased the diversity of Tattinger's offerings but also underscored the artistry and dedication that define the Tattinger legacy.
