From the renowned Premier Cru Supérieur estate, the 2018 Château d’Yquem offers a graceful and harmonious expression of Sauternes in a warm, generous vintage. Pale gold with luminous clarity, it opens with aromas of poached pear, white peach, and orange blossom, layered with subtle notes of honey, almond cream, and fresh pastry. On the palate, it’s silky and rounded, with a slightly lighter touch than more concentrated years, yet still beautifully textured. A spine of fresh acidity lends balance and poise, leading to a gentle, refined finish. Elegant and approachable young, it promises graceful ageing over the coming decades.
