Tasting Notes
The Chanson Santenay-1er Cru Beauregard 2020 offers a strikingly elegant example of southern Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir. On the nose there's an enticing mélange of fully ripe red berries — think cherry, redcurrant and wild strawberry — lifted by delicate florals and a hint of spice (vanilla, a whisper of licorice). The palate is generous and well-structured: the fruit is rich and vivid, yet underpinned by taut minerality from the stony clay-limestone soils. Silky, fine tannins carry a long, persistent finish where the ripe red fruit and subtle spice fade into a refined impression of freshness and terroir.
