Tasting Notes

Bodegas Vinos Sanz is steeped in tradition and was founded in 1870, the oldest bodega in the Rueda D.O. the Sanz family planted Sauvignon Blanc in the beautiful high altitude finca La Colina vineyard in 1980. Today, 40 years on this vineyard is producing what is considered by many as Spain's best Sauvignon Blanc. 

The first vines of noble foreign Sauvignon Blanc variety were planted in Rueda in 1980- the year the D.0. end established- on the delightful Finca La Colina, by Vinos Sanz. A selection of grapes grown on the oldest Sauvignon Blanc Vines (this is a wholly varietal wine) were vinified with special care to produce a wine that expresses this varietys broad range of characteristic aromas and flavours that closely resemble those of tropical fruits.
