Tasting Notes
Dom Pérignon 2017 ranks among the house’s most striking releases in recent memory, and is also one of the scarcest. Scoring 97 points from Antonio Galloni — his highest-rated Champagne of the 2017 vintage — it has drawn comparisons with legendary years such as 2002, a benchmark for the house and praise that carries real weight.
Its appeal is heightened by its extreme rarity. Total production equates to little more than three months of global availability. Galloni himself has noted that the 2017 is scarcely viable from a commercial standpoint, yet under the direction of Chef de Caves Vincent Chaperon, Dom Pérignon continues to release these wines as a faithful expression of the vintage. Bottled not for volume but for legacy, this is a remarkable Champagne we’re fortunate to be able to offer.
