The Gaja Dagromis Barolo 2021 is an elegant and expressive Barolo that beautifully showcases the character of Nebbiolo from the vineyards of La Morra and Serralunga d'Alba. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of wild cherry, plum and raspberry, intertwined with delicate notes of rose petals, lilac and sweet liquorice. As the wine develops, layers of balsamic herbs, graphite and subtle spice emerge, adding depth and complexity. On the palate, it is beautifully structured with silky yet finely grained tannins, bright acidity and remarkable balance. Flavours of ripe red berries, blood orange and savoury herbs lead into a long, persistent finish with lingering notes of mineral freshness and floral elegance, offering both immediate appeal and exceptional ageing potential.
