Tasting Notes
The IDDA Rosso 2020 is a beautifully refined expression of Mount Etna's volcanic terroir, combining elegance with remarkable depth. The nose is vibrant and perfumed, offering aromas of violet, black cherry and wild mulberry, layered with hints of dried herbs, rosemary and smoky volcanic ash. As the wine opens, subtle notes of tomato leaf, graphite and sweet spice emerge, adding complexity and a distinct sense of place. On the palate, it is fresh and finely structured, with silky, well-integrated tannins supporting flavours of ripe red berries, blood orange and mineral nuances. The finish is long, graceful and savoury, leaving lingering notes of smoke, herbs and crushed volcanic stone.
